The Trend Away from Old-Fashioned Litigation

Years ago, we noticed a developing trend that most cases don't go to trial.  They are settled at some point.  In the worst situations, they are settled just before trial, after both sides have been slugging away at each other.  In some cases, the parties and attorneys started working together in a friendly manner well before the final deadlines were imminent, but after harsh words and tactics had been used. In the best of cases, the parties work together from the beginning and realize the benefits of a Collaborative approach to resolving problems peacefully.

As much as we would prefer otherwise,in our clients' best interests, sometimes cases have to go to trial.  Having been Board-Certified as a Family Law Attorney for over 25 years, we have plenty of experience in trying cases, both jury and non-jury.
