FORT WORTH, Texas— The Price Law Firm in downtown Fort Worth, Texas launched their blog, Divorce and Family Law in Tarrant County, Texas in May of 2007. The blog was the first family law blog in Tarrant County. After three years of consistent and informative blog entries, along with using Twitter and Facebook to promote the blog, the firm says that it’s starting to pay off.
“The blog has become a great resource for clients and potential clients.” said Richard C. (Dick) Price, principal of The Price Law firm. “The potential clients who like my approach set up an appointment and usually hire me. If they don’t like what they read, they save their time and mine by going to see someone else. We’ve even stayed busy during the slow economic times.”

FORT WORTH, Texas— Beginning in March of 2008, Price Law Firm will be one of the first law firms in Fort Worth to offer a flat fee payment option. The firm will initially offer clients the option to choose either paying the traditional hourly fees for services or flat fees which are determined individually for each case after an initial consultation.
The flat fee requires a payment in advance for specified services. A flat fee is based on the services to be rendered and their complexity. Once set, flat fees do not increase. However, additional fees may be charged to pay for services not included in the original agreement. “Many clients prefer the flat fee arrangement because they know at the beginning what their financial commitment will be,” said Dick Price of Price Law Firm.
Under the traditional hourly fee system, clients maintain a specified level of retainer that is billed against until the matter is completed. Monthly statements are sent out specifying the work done and hours expended.
With either approach, the services are spelled out in a written agreement. Both options are discussed with prospective clients and they choose the plan they prefer.
The flat fee payment option has become more popular among attorneys nationwide in recent years because it is a more customer oriented payment plan.
